Elmswell is a thriving village with excellent infrastructure facilities including the railway station; primary school; police and fire stations; shops and two public houses.
Surrounded by breathtakingly beautiful agricultural farmland the village has a fascinating history dating back hundreds of years. The impressive Church of St John the Divine dominates the skyline as you travel east to historic Bury St Edmunds.
Shopping
Elmswell features a post office, small supermarket and typical village pubs. For bigger shopping trips Bury St. Edmunds, Cambridge and Ipswich are all easily reached.
Transport
Great road and rail transport links to Bury St Edmunds; Ipswich (London Liverpool Street); Norwich; Cambridge (Cambridge to Amsterdam Dutchflyer) and Peterborough bring large towns and city life within easy reach.
Health
The village of Woolpit (less than five minutes away) has a Health Centre with chiropodist, physiotherapist, mid-wife and Health Visitors. There is also a private Dental Practice.
Leisure
Whether the arts, sports or nature are of interest there's plenty going on. There's an amateur dramatic society, a book club, a library, three welcoming churches, aerobics and a gardening club. Throw in the occasional street party, music concert and Summer Fayre and you'll struggle to find a reason to venture far.
Schools

The school is also fortunate to have the Little Elms Pre-School within its grounds. This caters for three year olds and is held every weekday mornings and afternoons.
